Home Warranty.....an Asset?

How important is it to get a car warranty on a new or used car? As important as it is to obtain a Home Warranty.

Your HomeWe aren’t all master mathematicians but if a friend came to you and said that their bathroom pipes burst and the bathroom floor is so wet that the water is dripping down to the floor below, you can instantly compute that this incident will cost several hundreds if not a thousand or more dollars to repair. In this day in age a dollar saved is a dollar more we can afford to put into our gas tank.

A home warranty is essential and should be recommended to every home owner and it is a must for new home buyers. Purchasing a home can be overwhelming, and in two months time when the air conditioning goes the security of having a home warranty will be a great relief.

A home warranty generally cost between $300 and $500 per year. It’s coverage usually includes major appliances such a stove, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. It also usually covers electrical wiring, phone lines, plumbing, HVAC units, sump pumps, hot water heater, and hot tubs among a host of other items within the household. A deductible like any insurance company is required however the minimal fee is usually around $25 and $50 dollars.

For investors the home warranty works just the same for investment properties. Imagine the repair cost a landlord could save if only they had a home warranty.

How it works with any good home warranty company is that a certified technician promptly comes out to your home, inspects the problem, and proceed to make the repair. If the problem that exists can not be repaired, you the home owner will receive a new appliance or equipment depending on the issue.

Again let me stress the importance of having a home warranty and maintaining it every year. We never know what will occur tomorrow or next week, do we even know what's happening right now? It’s better to be prepared than not.

For good referrals you should ask your friends and family. If that fails, ask us.
